2007Highway
Do you know those extra-high-contrast, film-based b&w night-shots of highways you often see in older books from the 70s and 80s ?
That’s what I tried to do with this one… Like it ?
Concerning the photoblog-awards : thanks to all those that voted for me ! I appreciate it a lot ! That website also works great to discover new blogs… Just take a look in the lists, I’m sure you’ll find some you like… And don’t forget to vote if you really like them :)
Little update after Nick’s comment : there’s some more detail in the lights now… Thanks Nick !

Het is je aardig gelukt zou ik zo zeggen. Mooi hoor, zoiets lukt mij nou eigenlijk nooit. Geen geduld voor denk ik…Je hebt vast een statief gebruikt?
Florian
I like your processing here, also, very dynamic with the long light poses.
I think about the "Renaissance" movie, a french animation movie if you know it.
Nick
The lights are a little to bright for my tastes. I think I like these images better in color.
Florian
really cool effect, normaly are those pictures in colours, good idea!
Nick
I like this version much better. There is more detail in the lights and they are not as overwhelming. Nice shot.
Ashish Sidapara
Love the effect, well done!
Kheoh Yee Wei

I think the vast expanse of black space to white space holds most of the weight. I'm not too sure f it should be that way around?
I like the oldies style you tried to duplicate and I think you've pulled it off mostly.
Tok
Nice shot. I recently tried to do the same thing except with bleeding colours. Nice black and white treatment.
Sergio Vargas
I didn´t see the first version , but I like this one very much! , well done Marteen!

strongly reduced, nearly abstract shot. "I know, what you mean" :-)
Julie

Cool picture. Rather dark but I like it. Nice job!

Very nice image. Alphaville!

Jason
Oh yeah, very nice. Interesting choice to go with black and white here, but it really does work.
Ulrich
fantabulous night shot and b/w treatment. A classic!

Now that you mention it, it does have a bit of a 70s feel about it. But would I have grasped that without you mentioning it? Not sure.
Still love light-streak shots though. But I can never tear myself away from the colour version.
