This is “Strépy-Thieu” – a little town in the southern part of Belgium. The picture was taken almost directly next to the top of the enormous boat-lift from this image (click). The little town has been cut into two parts at the time of construction of the ‘canal du Centre’, the large canal also visible in the image of the boat-lift.
